Know congenital heart defects in children

The heart is a vital organ that plays an important role in the life of every human being, including infants and children who are experiencing growth. Structure and function of the normal heart is needed to maintain a stable blood circulation to meet the body's need for oxygen and nutrients a child. Unfortunately, seven to eight babies per thousand live births are born with congenital heart disease. The relatively high incidence of high number of congenital heart disease is the most frequent congenital abnormalities in the congenital abnormalities of other types, such as congenital abnormalities of the gastrointestinal tract, lungs, kidneys, limbs, and so forth.
 
Children with congenital heart disease have structural abnormalities of the heart which can be either a hole or defect in the heart's chambers barriers, narrowing or blockage of valves or blood vessels that originate or lead to heart disease, or abnormalities of the heart and blood vessel configuration. The structural abnormalities may be single or in combination, giving rise to complex congenital heart disease. The first type is called with cyanotic congenital heart disease, which is a type of congenital heart disease that causes cyanosis, or bluish color to the skin and mucous membranes, especially in the area of ​​the tongue / lips and the tips of the limbs due to lack of oxygen levels in the blood. The second type is called the disease of non-cyanotic congenital heart, congenital heart disease that does not cause a bluish color in children. Non-congenital heart disease cyanotic heart failure symptoms are generally characterized by shortness of incriminating face when breastfeeding or exertion, swelling of the face, limbs, and abdomen, and impaired growth that leads to malnutrition.
